SKYY Spirits is a leading premium vodka producer and fast-growing subsidiary of Gruppo Campari, based in Milan. Jim Kaylor, a project designer from RMW, described the project this way: When SKYY Spirits had outgrown a converted residential Victorian, a new site was chosen to consolidate its San Francisco operations under one roof and provide a space that would better promote their brand image.
The new headquarters was conceived as a hybrid space, blending office environment with a hospitality atmosphere. The public/social spaces were designed for double duty as a lounge-café and as reception-employee break areas.
To convey the hip and high caliber SKYY brand, the new location provided corporate office functionality that took on an air of SKYY's target market culture. Three objectives were key to project success: exposing and highlighting the industrial building’s original materials; providing an effective backdrop to display SKYY's current marketing campaigns; and establishing a multi-functional space for creative work as well as entertaining clients and conducting other marketing activities. |
