Inspection Services, Inc. (ISI) is a minority woman-owned business based in San Francisco. ISI provides construction inspection and materials testing services for compliance with local codes for protection of public safety and welfare. ISI needed to furnish their newly purchased building in Berkeley which was close to their customer base. The CRI project consisted of seventeen workstations, four private offices, two meeting rooms all within a very tight budget.
The design vision for the project was for collaborative workstations for engineers with more privacy for the marketing and accounting functions also maximizing the natural light in the space was important as well as providing a clean aesthetic. The challenge of the project was the tight construction schedule and the demand to deliver a highly functional workstation for the allowed budget. CRI worked closely with Herman Miller and Hooks Asd to provide a great solution using favorable discounting and finishes that gave them the look they desired and fit within the budget.
